The atari used the same file system as PC's do today and had a fast booting and loading time. It is LOT easier and faster to convert disk images back to atari disks than it is to convert amiga disk images back to amiga disks. All the tools you need to convert disk images back for a real Atari ST are on the Atari downloads page.

The Atari was a grey colour and had the F1 - F12 keys shaped into the case. I liked how they were so easy to press. The keyboard wasn't as good though and had rather a stodgy feel to it. I dont really use the keyboard much though, most of the writing can be done on the PC, you only really used it to type in high scores. The amiga has a better keyboard with a better feel to it. The keyboard was slightly differet to the PC keyboards now, the main differences being in the numeric pad. it also had no caps lock.
